A 12-year-old boy – is an object of bullying in school in the film «Jean-Francois and the meaning of life» (Spain, 2018). Hiding from the offender in the toilet, he finds the book of A. Camus «The Myth of Sisyphus » and goes to Paris to talk to the writer and philosopher about the meaning of life, not knowing that he had long died.

Interestingly, and with humor the film reveals the saddest problem of the modern school. Sergi Portabelia, the film director, says he took up this topic, because in his childhood abuse at school did not take such a scale. He himself read Camus at the age of 16, but he could not persuade the main actor to read the «Myth of Sisyphus». The young actor said that it’s boring. Nevertheless, he played his role successfully and he looks like quite a smart boy. In discussing the film educators and parents say that they dream of the film screening in movie theaters in Russia, because there are not enough screenings of difficult teenager’s movies. By the way, the debut of this film at the Moscow International Film Festival on April 23rd, was the first public show — the world premiere.
