COLLAPSE IN SARATOV

Public transport in Saratov has been stopped, both cars and pedestrians.
There has been heavy snowfall in the city of Saratov for four days. More than 75% of the streets are closed for traffic, in some places there are frequent accidents. In most places, the snow depth reaches more than 40 cm. Over 200 snow removal machines work on the streets of the city, but there is little efficiency, because the snow falls again. It is impossible to enter some buildings because of the large snow drifts at the entrance. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that it is possible to declare an emergency in the city, because so many people have lost their power, and communications. People have suffered from slippery roads and icicles.
The head of the hydrometeorological center of Saratov: “The weather will begin to change after Saturday. There will be a tendency to increase in temperature through Monday. On Sunday afternoon, the thermometers will show -4…+1 degrees, at night -7 … -12 degrees. On Monday, it will be even warmer: at night 0 … -5 degrees, in the daytime -4 … + 1 degrees. This is due to the release of the next southern cyclone.”
Starting on Sunday, intense precipitation in the form of drizzle and sleet is expected in the region. By Monday, their volume will be 7-12 mm per day.
Residents are informed about the possible danger on the roads.
