FAIRY TALE – IS NOT “REAL”, BUT THERE IS A HINT IN IT …

Today another New Year’s play «Snow Dreams of Stepan Timofeevich» took place in the «Residence of the Snow Maiden.» Dozens of Kostroma families decided to delight the children with a meeting with the Russian Snow Maiden and an exciting journey into the world of the New Year’s fairy tale.
And the fairy tale today, indeed, was unusual. It had everything: the real story of the cat Stepan — a living inhabitant of the Residence, who came here on his own six years ago and found a house in the “Snow Wonders Academy”. The tale also had a fantastic “time frame”, a journey through the seasons, and a lot of music, songs, dances.
The performance began very unusually: the cat Stepan Timofeevich lives in a fairy house, who is ready to tell a New Year’s fairy tale. But the trouble is: the house suddenly turned out to be empty. Academicians go in search of the cat, which can be found but only if they are asleep.
Each of the Academicians falls asleep at a certain time of the year. But there is no Stepan Timofeevich. Each time of the year presents to the audience a miniature image of one of the aspects of society. In the fall we find ourselves in a library where you can read books. The characters of the year are the bosses here — mice who try “to taste books of different genres”.
In winter, the Academician Skorenka came to stray animals. Each animal, thanks to the letters received by the children, has found caring owners.
In spring the Academician Glavniy told the secret of Stepan’s cat: its hobby is to look at the moon, on which, perhaps, the cat’s love object lives.
The Academician Vestochka in her dream fell into the summer. Here the children rescued drowning people, participated in rowing on the Kostroma boat, and swam, covered by a wave.
But the intrigue of the performance was that Stepan Timofeevich at that time … No, I will not begin to disclose the «highlight» of the ideas of the main director of the performance. Bright songs and dances were on the scene when the Snow Maiden and then Santa Claus appeared in the hall.
Well, a fairy tale is
not “real”, but there is
a hint in it … Let’s hope that today children and adults will
become kinder and more attentive to those who are nearby and need
their care. This should happen already in real life, and not
only in a fairy tale!
