«RUSSIAN SKIING» IN SARATOV

On February 9, for the fifteenth time, the race “Russian Skiing” took place in Saratov. Thousands of participants were able to participate in the winter race. The regional stage for the prizes of the governor took place in the Bazaar Karabulak. Traditionally, the race united not only professional skiers, but also amateurs. Several distances were developed specially for them. 5 km for boys and girls, 10 km for men and women, incl. employees of law enforcement agencies, as well as a special trail with a length of 2019 m for honored guests and journalists.
The “Russian Skiing” is both a contest and entertainment. Thanks to this, the event drew record crowds, though not all visitors participated in the race itself. Even during the competition, the tents were crowded. Winter slides, and dog sledding were organized. Along with them, each tourist center of the Saratov region had its own representative offices, where visitors could learn about the achievements of residents and local crafts.
Our correspondent was able to participate in the race of media representatives and placed in the top three. Especially for the anniversary, the Post of Russia erected a branch at the ski run and offered to send a special postcard to those who wish to do it, leaving an imprint of the stamp on it dedicated to this event.
The start of the race was given by the governor of the Saratov region Valery Radaev, who noted that the region is actively developing in the field of sports, new sports complexes and swimming pools are being opened, and this will continue in the coming year.
