THE PLACE WHERE YOU FEEL GOOD

For a long time, I considered my native Belgorod boring. It seemed to me that there was nowhere to go and nothing to see. But all the fun was nearby! Perhaps you also just need to look back, take a new or unknown route, or look at the city at a different time of day. I want to share with you my favorite places in Belgorod, which for me cannot be compared with any beauty of the world.
One of my favorite places is the observation deck near the 22-meter high monument to Vladimir the Great, which rises above the city on the northern slope of Kharkov Mountain. Nearby is a pedestrian bridge made of glass and concrete, leading to a viewing platform with a flower clock and a sculpture called “Dream”, which was popularly called the “Girl with soap bubbles”. It is better to visit the place in the evening when it offers a magnificent view of the sparkling Belgorod night. The lights of the lamps, the glare of the headlights and the light of the houses create an amazing atmosphere. Everything moves, and you are watching what is happening from the height of a bird’s flight, in complete calm. By the way, viewing binoculars were recently installed there!
Belgorod airport. I love this place for emotions. Just look at the people in anticipation of the flight or before the long-awaited meeting with relatives! Travelers’ eyes are shining, a smile never leaves their faces. How many tender warm hugs and tears of happiness are seen at the airport! Here people are sincere. Probably that is why this place is so attractive.
The bridge of lovers and the green park near the Belgorod State University, the playground near the sports complex of Svetlana Khorkina. I love to spend time here in the summer! I sit on the edge of the fountain and listen to the sound of water, feel the full peace and connection with nature. Everything is beautiful here… Each lantern, each flower is charming in its own way. This place allows you to forget about problems, travel back to another world and dream.
My friend and I, we come to the “Dresser” coffee house every Friday. We take a large caramel latte mug and talk for hours. We laugh, fool around, and don`t think about others. The atmosphere of the coffee house is an important component of warm meetings. Be sure to have a visit!
These places make Belgorod special. It is forever in my heart.
