Media May: The International contest of child’s works “Responsibility”, the action of “The Immortal Regiment” and Photocross of the project “YNPhoto”.

A new month has come and it is time to inform you about interesting and exciting events which happened in the past month. This month was very eventful for all correspondents of YNPress. We have done a great job of covering a variety of activities.
The International contest of child’s works “Responsibility” was one of such events. The aim of the competition was to support the participation of young people in positive change of social environment and decisions affecting them. Individual and collective participants from Russia and CIS countries ranging in age from 10 to 16 years old could become authors. The work could include:
— responsibility of young journalists for their heroes; for what is happening around and an active participation in change of environment.
— the participation of young people in the adoption and implementation of socially significant decisions concerning the interests of children in the family, a classroom, a school, a city, a country; a dialogue between young citizens and a dialogue between young citizens and local authorities in solving problems about family and children.
— help for peers who find themselves in difficult situations in their lives. The prize for the winner was very enjoyable. He was awarded the free trip to The second International youth media forum “Artek”, which will be held October 19-November 9, 2016 year.
Lots of representatives of leading federal media, figures of science and culture will be the guests of this forum.
Another important event was the action of “The Immortal Regiment”, dedicated to the memory of the perished people during The Great Patriotic War. The Immortal Polk is a popular movement created for honoring the memory of people defending their homeland during The Great Patriotic War. Anyone could take part in this event. You had to just bring a sign with a photo of your ancestor who made contribution to the victory in the war.
First of all, I should like to express my gratitude to all who organized the Regiment during the current year. We can say that the movement has grown and it can already be considered a folk tradition of victory day celebrations. Today, there is no person in Russia who doesn’t know about “The Immortal Regiment”. The meaning of the action (a form of preservation and transmission to descendants of personal and family memory) became close to people. The main task of the regiment did not collect numerous columns, but help to speak those who have realized the fact that 9 May is a day of remembrance of their ancestors.
In the year 2016 campaign “The Immortal Regiment” took place in almost all corners of Russia: The European part of Russia, the former Soviet republics, other foreign countries and Siberia and Ural.

The project “YNPhoto” found a way out for you. Photocross of the project “YNPhoto” will be held soon. It will happen on June 12. The contest coincides with the celebration of Independence Day in Russia. Photo theme unknown until 10:00 am 12 June. You must fill in the application form for participation in the contest.
