Literary Salon

In Russia, there are a lot of cities, and even more schools where The Olympiads, competitions, events on various topics are held. This may be done for entertaining purposes, but they can be carried out also with the aim to provide additional knowledge to children.
I would like to tell you about one of the events taking place in my and many other schools. It’s the «Literary Salon». For those who do not know what it is, I will explain briefly. In the XVIII and XIX century poets and writers read their works, and danced at the Literary Salons. Now the Literary Salon`s purpose has changed. Children and adults make shows at Literary Salons, telling young people about the events taking place in the days when the authors of different literary works lived, which we can admire even today. I also participate in the «Literary Salons» in our school. I had the role of Alexander Pushkin, and now we are preparing the topic, where we compare the XIX century and modern dances.
