The project «Grandma’s universities» opens a new season

The project «Grandma’s universities» became the winner of the Public Relations Committee of Moscow. It will be implemented in three centers for families and children, «Otradnoye», «Krasnoselsky» and «Zyuzin.»
The program has a rich history since 2005, and is aimed at finding effective methods and technologies of intergenerational interaction between the two age groups in the implementation of social programs: «Learning to cook well,» «Comfort in my house», and «Home etiquette». Socially non-defended children through conversations with grandmothers will acquire the skills needed in their family lives, they will learn the basics of creating a home-like atmosphere with their own hands, will receive basic knowledge of home-etiquette, and will learn to organize family celebrations.
The basis of volunteers of «silver» grandmothers’ squad will consist mainly of veterans of pedagogical work, who will be involved in the project with the assistance of the City Council of Veterans and territorial centers of social service.
In the frameworks of this project, the grandmothers` training workshop will be conducted from 23 to 26 January 2017 in «Family and Children Support Center» Krasnoselsky » with the assistance of the best leading experts. Then in February, at the same time three social and domestic programs will be launched once every ten days. It is assumed that children (20 children in each center) will take part in all programs. As a result of the project a brochure will be published, where technologies and methods of joint activities will be presented, a photo exhibition «Grandma’s universities» will be organized, and the advertising-propaganda campaign «Grandma’s universities» will be made in the centers for families and children, and orphanages of other districts of Moscow.
