In the 21st century, it is assumed that the cinema is the best entertainment of young people, and not only of young people. People around the world watch movies and documentaries. Not so long ago, about fifty years, films were only in black and white, and now we go to the cinema as an attraction: today most of the films are shown in various formats from 2d to IMAX format. In addition, almost every motion picture is filled with special effects and graphics that hit us with the first view. Just like the movie «Gravity», which premiered on January 24.
While watching, the film captures you by what you see. It is hard to imagine that the film crew worked long and hard to bring the impossible into reality! At first, Fedor Bondarchuk did not want to be a director of the «Attraction» because, as he admits, he was simply afraid to create a film about today`s reality, about the modern society.
It is necessary to say some words about the story of the movie, which surprises us by its unpredictability and, its «filling». Each character has their own life story, with its difficulties, obstacles and unexpected twists. All these stories are intertwined and, because of this, the film is seen in one breath and gives unforgettable impressions.
On the day of the premiere, a press conference with actors, authors of the idea, the producers and Fyodor Bondarchuk was held. Many TV and radio channels, as well as print media asked their questions. We also were lucky to be able to interview the creators of the best-selling sci-fi. Irina Starshenbaum played the main character of the film Julia Lebedeva, and this film was her debut. Therefore, we decided to talk to her.
— Irina, throughout your role, you are filled with sincerity and emotional outburst. What do you feel about your character, about her boldness and perseverance? Are you similar to her? Or, did you have problems, and it was hard to get used to the role?
— There was a very interesting moment, when during the first samples of the casting the film director told me: «Irina, in general, I like everything, but let’s clean up your rage. The script says you play a girl-schoolgirl. Why are you so brutal? «As for me, when I was reading this story, I immediately decided it should be a girl with the character, otherwise it will not be very interesting to look at her. And when I came to have trials with Fyodor, he said: «Well, well. I looked at your first trial — you did not have a ponytail. Make your hair free, you’re more alive in your first trials. » I replied, «Fyodor, she’s a schoolgirl.» He said, «No, no, no! Let’s make her a bad girl! «.
