The film «The lights of a big village» tells us about an ordinary man from a small Russian town, who wants to save the local cinema. The city authorities want to turn it into a store. Men, without much thinking, decide to make a film to raise money for theater’s restoration. But in order to make a movie, they need a popular actor — Dmitriy Dyuzhev.
«The lights of a big village» – is a film about the great Russian soul and about people who want to live and believe in a dream. In the picture there are many moments in which everyone can find himself. After all, the filmmakers have tried, as accurately as possible, to bring us closer to the reality of Russian life.
