Who nowadays writes letters on paper? All the people from the camp Artek do!
Today the action «Mail of the World» began in the international centre. The children from the camp «Azure» sent letters-cards with suggestions and wishes to the heads of states: Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump, Peter Poroshenko, and Angela Merkel. Most of the Azure participants wrote to our Russian president, they wished him happiness, health, and some of them suggested paying more attention to domestic policy than to external policy, and others to open new children’s camps. Even the crew of the NTV channel came to Artek. Journalists asked what modern children want to wish people who manage countries. The action «Mail of the World» was dedicated to Samantha Smith’s birthday. The grandfather of Mirna Gatsalova, a girl in our detachment of the camp, personally knew the girl-diplomat. It was he, who organized the meeting and residence of Samantha in the USSR. She always smiled and enjoyed life. This 12-year-old girl from the United States was able to change the whole world! Perhaps the letters written by the Artek people will change the history of world politics. We will wait for their answers impatiently.
