Live classics of Dagestani composers

On November 10, the 19th theatrical season and the first republican music festival opened in the Opera and Ballet Theater of the city of Makhachkala by its artistic director Alexei Prasolov.
The festival opened with the solemn opera of the Dagestani composer Gottfried A. Hasanov, «Khochbar» to the 80th anniversary of the festival. The main figures of the festival were the choir of the Opera and Ballet Theater, along with the ballet troupe and people’s artists of the Republic of Dagestan: Tagir Kurachev, Muxim Kamalov, Sergei Pozdnyakov, Svetlana Musaeva and many others.
Briefly about the opera: the Darghin and Avarian khans quarreled with each other and wanted to start a war. Darghin khan Khochbar was brave, but the Avarian Khan was weak and cowardly. One old man came to the Avarian khan and said, «We must kill Khochbar in a witty way: let`s invite him to a so-called party and we will kill him!» Khan did it all. Khochbar gave all the weapons to his enemy on the sign of peace and believed the cowardly khan. At the end of the opera the sons of Khan seized him and they decided to throw Khochbar into the fire, but instead our hero jumped into the fire together with the daughters of the cowardly Avarian ruler.

On November 17th will be conducted The Concert of Instrumental Music.
On November 18th the Opera of the Dagestani composer Magomed Huseynov «Sharvili» will take place in Big Hall of the Russian Theater on Rasul Gamzatov`s Avenue in Makhachkala city, 38 at 6pm.
On November 27th the ballet of one of the best composers of the world Murad Kazhlaev, Imam Shamil” will take place in Bolshoy Hall of the Russian Theater on Prospect Rasul Gamzatov 38 in Makhachkala city at 6pm.
On December 4th the Round table «Formation of Professional Music of Dagestan» will take place in the Poetry Theater- the only theatre in Russia on Rasul Gamzatov`s Avenue 12“b” in Makhachkala city at 6pm.
On the 5th of December the Concert of Choral Music of Dagestani composers will take place in a small hall of the Russian Theater on Rasul Gamzatov`s Avenue, 38, in Makhachkala city.
On December 7th, the Closing of the Festival and the Gala concert will take place in Kumyk theater hall of Makhachkala city, at Buinakski street 10, at 6pm.
