MY DREAM

MY DREAM

Мы и мир

By Anna Mayorova | December 08, 2017
Every person has a dream, be they a six-year-old boy or an adult woman. Someone wants a kitten, and someone’s dream is a cozy home. All people have different desires, and this shows that everyone is an individual.
I also have a dream — I want to become an interpreter in the future. But in order to do it, a person needs to work hard. I think that this is not an easy task, because learning foreign languages requires a lot of effort, time, perseverance and patience.
I want to become an interpreter, because it is very interesting to learn something new. Also, the ability to speak well not only in native, but also in a foreign language is an important skill that will be useful in life. In travel, you can communicate with people who are less likely to speak Russian: hotel staff, waiters in a cafe, etc. After all, I will not have a fear that I will not understand this man. More translators often fly to other countries and thus can see the most diverse corners of the world. And I really love traveling, so for me this is quite an important point.
In order to achieve the goal, I have already taken several steps: I started to learn English (and I have been doing this for several years), sometimes I do it on my own (I read books written in the original — Sherlock Holmes, for example, and also watch different videos about English). Nowadays, time passes by very quickly. And, it would seem, in a few years my dream will come true, but no. To achieve my goal, I still need to learn German, go to university, and later finish my studies in it, get a job in the prospective profession.
I hope that after a while I will become an interpreter, and my life will be exactly as I dream.
