BY ANDREI KARPOV | 21 NOVEMBER 2018
The singer of the legendary song about Kostroma will visit Kostroma citizens very soon.
<< Glorious rumor circulates in Russia: You receive everyone as your relatives, Kostroma! >>
That’s how, with open arms, Kostroma citizens will receive the “guru” of the Russian chanson — Evgeny N. Ross, who sings these remarkable lines of the song.
Evgeny Ross (Chuzhoj) was born in 1965 in the village of Akulovo, Pervomaisky District, Altai Territory, and later moved to Barnaul and studied at the Barnaul Music School in a double bass class, but could not finish it for some reasons. However, this did not prevent him from further developing in the musical field.
In the army, he began to sing his poems to famous melodies, which the public liked very much. Further, being experienced, Evgeny began to write his own compositions and in 2000 he became famous. Nowadays, one of his most popular songs are: “My Motherland”, “Bears got lost”, “If Not You”, and “The only tender darling”.
The songs of Evgeny Ross are so emotional and close to the people that they almost immediately won the hearts of the listeners, because each of them is very similar to the life story, sang with talent by Evgeny. No wonder he was nominated 4 times for the “Chanson of the Year” award and repeatedly participated in various festivals, for example, “Oh, Razgulay!”, “Slavianski Bazaar”, and “Jurmala-Chanson”.
In Kostroma, his concert will be dedicated to a new album “If not you”. Fedor Dobronravov — the people’s artist of the Russian Federation, best known for his role in the TV series “Matchmakers” participated on the album, i.e. in the song “Ferry”.
Everyone is welcome to experience this wonderful atmosphere of the Russian people concert on November 23 at 7pm in the CEC “Gubernsky”, located at st. Deputatskaya, 49, Kostroma.
