IN ROBOSPORT STARTING FROM 6 YEARS OLD!

Can you already do robosport and have results if you are just 6years old? You can!
On January 18, a regional qualifying round was held in Chelyabinsk to participate in the All-Russian Championship “FIRST RUSSIA ROBOTICS CHAMPIONSHIP”. 18 teams from different towns of the Chelyabinsk region took part in this qualifying round. Children 6-9 years old presented their projects. The themes of the projects were different: ecology, smart garden, and children’s parks. There were even projects of production facilities.
The Aleksandrov sisters had just recently turned 6 years old. They presented a draft playground on the bank of the water reservoir. “Did you come up with this project yourself?”, ¬ I ask the girls. “Yes, we`ve invented it for a whole week, and collected it in one day,” ¬ the little sisters explained. I was glad to see that the Alexandrov sisters received the diplomas of the winners at the award ceremony.
In 98 countries, the FIRST direction is operating, which is an international educational program and has more than 445 thousand participants. FIRST educational programs include the following programs:
• FIRST® LEGO® LEAGUE JUNIOR (6-9 years old);
• FIRST® LEGO® LEAGUE (10-16 years);
• AutoNet 10+ (Program «Robotics»).
If children participate in educational and competitive events of the FIRST direction, then they develop such key skills as critical thinking, multitasking, and problem solving using non-standard methods, and teamwork. By competing, children develop vital skills, and amazing development opportunities can open up before them.
