QUARANTINE! DO WE NEED ALL THIS?

Coronavirus is raging in the world. Authorities seek to reduce the spread of infection; quarantined institutions are closed for quarantine and people are recommended to stay at home. Does that all make sense?
Users of VKontakte answered this question. Of 170 respondents, 25% are against quarantine. The rest believe that it is needed. It is possible that some note the need for isolation as an opportunity to relax.
Coronavirus is transmitted through touch, dust and airborne droplets. That is why it is easy to get infected by contacting the potentially infected person. The risk increases when there are many people around. Here, even medical masks will not protect you.
The virus is insidious and does not manifest itself within 1-14 days after infection. But an infected person can already spread the infection. Therefore, the argument: “We do not have a single sick person” is not a reason for the abolition of self-isolation.
Two-week quarantine is an important and reasonable precaution. If each person thinks about his health and stays at home for a couple of weeks, the number of infected people will decrease, therefore, possible mortality will decrease too.
