IN ANY DIFFICULT SITUATION, THE IMPORTANT IS TO EXERCISE MERCY

Quite often, people who find themselves in a difficult life situation are not able to overcome difficulties on their own and determine their social position. Many people face such a problem, but their lack of willpower or their own licentiousness causes their personal decline. Women, including those with children, are at risk. The negative influence of the environment and constant pressure from the outside leads to excessive use of alcohol and drug addiction.
The Autonomous Non-Profit Organization “Center for the Development of Social Projects of the Tyumen Region“ Mercy ”in the“ New Hope ”project helps women cope with addictive behavior. The main goal of the project is to provide psychological, social and rehabilitative assistance to women with alcohol and drug addiction, women in crisis situations, including those with children. This year the project won the Presidential Grants Fund.
To provide assistance to women with addictions, the project provides for the creation of living conditions, rehabilitation classes, the provision of socio-psychological and medical assistance, as well as training in social and everyday skills. One of the main problems faced by women in need of assistance is difficult relationships with relatives. Therefore, when working with the families of the beneficiaries, the task is to teach them to properly contact the caregiver and competently build interpersonal relationships.
Many of the women who seek help have children, in which case the project provides for the placement of the child next to the mother and daily classes in the classical school program and the operation of a kindergarten. Women in crisis situations of old age also seek help, thus, cohabitation of dependent women with children and older women will have a beneficial effect on the development of each of them. Mutual support will help young mothers to rehabilitate, and single elderly women will have a chance to share life experiences.
In addition to the «New Hope» project, the «Mercy» Aid Center, with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund, implemented an equally successful social project — «Mercy of the Heart», aimed at supporting people suffering from chronic progressive diseases, including AIDS and Oncology. Within this framework, patients are provided with medical, social and psychological assistance, both complex and lifelong.
