October 7 was the Memorial Day of Sergei S. Orlov. Poet-veteran, laureate of the State Prize of the RSFSR named after Gorky, secretary of the board of the Writers’ Union of the RSFSR, he reached the highest literary heights and at the same time he always remained very human, infinitely loving his relatives and small homeland.
This summer the film crew of our Media Center worked in the city of Belozersk, Vologda Oblast. We were one of the first to walk along a unique tourist route. It was a kind of quest: on the way we read the poems of Sergei Orlov, recalled facts from his biography and the history of Russia.
