Who are united are invincible

They will overpower a lion, no matter how strong he is». (Saadi)
This is a statement of the Persian poet and moralist Saadi, which shows the best the power of united people. Nowadays, especially, people should be united and resist all odds, which cannot be overcome when you are alone. That is why since 2004 on November 4 our country celebrates the «Day of National Unity.». A concert, dedicated to People’s National Unity Day was held in the village of Cherny Yar, Astrakhan Region.
Artists from all over the Chernojarsky area attended the event. The participants of the shows were Russians, Ukrainians and even Caucasians. Dance groups showed folk dances.
The Great Patriotic War was remembered there and many songs were performed on this topic.
The choreographic dance group «Variety» as usual pleased us with its dancing abilities. The senior and junior group of the ensemble made some beautiful and interesting shows.
The participants and winners of the district essay contest on the topic «The significance of the Cossacks in our land» received awards during the concert.
We will remember for a long time this colorful and interesting holiday!
