NGO «UNION OF WRITERS OF THE REPUBLIC OF CRIMEA»

The non-profit organization «Union of Writers of the Republic of Crimea» is an organization that unites experienced writers and gives a start to young talents.
The world of literature is undoubtedly the most mysterious and attractive, and many people dream of not only reading new books, but also getting to know the people who create these books, and perhaps even trying their hand at writing. The non-profit organization «Union of Writers of the Republic of Crimea» unites the writers of the Crimea, all of Russia and even the World, assists with the publication of creative works, the Union has a publishing house for the magazines «Crimea» and «Dolya».
The union is headed by the writer, translator and public figure Valery Magafurovich Basyrov. The main activity of the union is publishing and conducting competitions, both for experienced writers and for beginners, very young creators. Every summer, in the month of August, the main competition of the union is held — «Intelligent Season». Five previous years, the participants were hosted in the city of Saki, this year the meeting will be held in Alushta.
More than a hundred writers, songwriters and poets from different parts of Russia will compete for the main prize of the festival. A valuable moment of the competition is the promotion of all three state languages of the Republic of Crimea — there are nominations in the Crimean Tatar, Ukrainian and Russian languages. The chairman of the jury for this competition is the editor-in-chief of Literaturnaya Gazeta, Maxim Zamshev.
