On one side

The worst for any person is a war. Over the history of humanity, wars have destroyed many valuable works. In addition, thousands of people were killed, including talented military leaders, figures of culture and science. For our country, the most terrible was the Great Patriotic War of 1941. Its memory is preserved in the hearts of people until today.
Then there was no difference between the people at the front. We all fought for our country, family and future. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, new states were formed. Over time, the fact that once these people were fighting together started to be forgotten. Nowadays, another terrible thing happens: the people of the former Soviet Union are beginning to despise each other. They believe that they are — different. On the one hand, it is true. People are the representatives of different countries. On the other hand, the inhabitants of the CIS countries are the same as they were before.
CIS countries even today can be called one country. For example, representatives of the generation of the USSR continue to maintain the same traditions. Residents of Belarus and Ukraine have absolutely identical ways of celebrating the New Year and weddings. Traditions have passed down from generation to generation. Modern teenagers have the same fashion and they have common interests and hobbies. In addition, residents of countries such as Ukraine and Belarus continue to speak in Russian, and it is still taught in schools.
It must be remembered that earlier all the nations of the former Soviet Union, fought together. Then they had differences. Even now, years after those terrible events with certainty we can say that people are alike. Now a border divides them, but our common history unites them. They could fight together then, and will be able to do it again at any time.
